Shyft uses the latest technology to help provide energy solutions that are convenient to use and easy to manage from a smartphone. With the creation of the e-box, an integrated hardware and software that combines mobile application with interconnected hardware, Eneyo could assist people who were suffering from power cuts to save money. The company allows homes, businesses and energy companies to remotely monitor, manage and control all their power sources including generators, solar, batteries and utility connections from mobile or web applications. Their focus was on Nigeria where power outages were frequent. Shyft initially focused on cities in emerging markets where there were frequent power outages that caused people to generate and manage back-up power themselves. The company focuses on assisting industries including big data, energy, energy management, renewable energy and software. Home and business owners can conveniently manage their power sources, improve energy efficiency and save money. Back-up energy providers are able to monitor and control assets while keeping customers engaged. Real-estate developers are able to deliver modern energy experiences with smart and connected homes. It empowers real-estate developers, back-up energy providers and home and business owners. Its aim is to optimize distributed energy resource performance and operational efficiency. Although Shyft is headquartered in San Francisco, it also has a branch in Lagos, Nigeria.
